A Glass of Red Wine with the Devil.

The Object of my Affection and I happened upon the conversation of Utah liquor stores. My initial argument was that liquor stores not being open on Sundays is another demonstration of Utah's perpetual indifference to adhering to a separation between church and state. And you can't argue that it's because government entities aren't open on Sundays because they are clearly open on Saturdays, which is also not a Utah government working day. Nor is Friday actually, for that matter, so by those rules, it should only be open 4 days a week. Think of the possible revenue the state might gain by having liquor stores open an additional day, especially as the Utah state leg is slashing budgets and programs left and right in their floundering 45 days in office. Let's face it, the Land of Zion needs another round. But beyond how much it annoys me, it got me thinking about something else. Are there Mormons who work at Utah Liquor Stores? or maybe more shockingly in a state w

NO. WAY.

It is worth its space on the tubes of the internets to not just tell you, but provide you PROOF that my 87 year old grandmother, survivor of the Great Depression and most frugal living woman alive ("except that I would NEVER buy generic ginger snaps, tut tut.") Did not finish everything on her plate today. We went to Tucano's for the Salad Bar, yes, the Salad Bar, because grandma had a coupon, but did not want to break the word of wisdom by over indulging in meat. But she said the fruit was "too tart." an excuse if ever I heard one, and she left her plate partially full. Because this has NEVER happened in the 18 years I have been living and eating in my grandmother's presence, I took a picture.

Gone With the Wind- It may be cliché, but those are ALWAYS the best 4 hours of my month. 2. Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken- A horse movie with a kickass message and gorgeous people. I approve. There are three separate points in this movie that I ALWAYS cry during, no matter what. 3. Dumb and Dumber- WE LANDED ON THE MOON!!!! 4. Philadelphia Story-Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart with the best script that was EVER written. EVER. 5. Forrest Gump- The paradox of the simple and the epic in this movie is something that continues to speak to me every time I see it. And I think Jenny is one of the most beautiful characters ever designed. 6. Lonesome Dove- the best western movie that was ever made. No question. “A man who wouldn’t cheat for a poke don’t want it bad enough.” 7. When Harry Met Sally- the epic chick flick, the ultimate cinematic discussion of
